Morocco is situated in the northern region of the African continent, and is washed by the North Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. The country has borders with Western Sahara to the south, Algeria to the east and the Spanish North African territories of Ceuta and Melilla on the Mediterranean coast in the north. The terrain of the country is really varied. Some parts of Morocco are covered by mountain and some are covered by desert. The Rif Mountains cover the northwest and northeast, the Atlas Mountain ranges are located in the southwest and the southeast of the country. Morocco's climate is of Mediterranean type, especially in the mountainous regions. The best time to visit Morocco is from June to September, when the weather is warm and with a very little amount of rainfall.
